Me and my friends, Sarah, Tina, and Rachel, were all fighting over who got to borrow it next. Needless to say, we all ended up buying our own copies.
Tricia Levenseller did an amazing job of combining adventure, romance, and humor in this book. The main character, Alosa, is a total badass and I couldn’t help but root for her throughout the entire story. Me and my sister, Emily, were so invested in Alosa’s journey that we stayed up until 3am just to finish it!
I may or may not have developed a slight crush on Riden while reading this book. He’s definitely swoon-worthy and his banter with Alosa had me laughing out loud multiple times. Me and my co-worker, David, spent our lunch breaks discussing the book and trying to come up with theories about what would happen next. We were both blown away by the plot twists and turns in this book. Overall, ‘Daughter of the Pirate King’ was an absolute delight to read and I can’t wait to get my hands on the sequel!
